Salt Lake County 2013 Housing Forecast

James Wood, director of the Bureau of Economic and Business Research, offered a local housing forecast overview, predicting that Salt Lake home sales this year would rise another 15 to 20 percent, with home prices rising 10 to 12 percent. 'In 2013, Salt Lake County's real estate recovery will gain momentum,' Wood said. 'Strong job growth combined with low interest rates will give a boost to both buyer confidence and housing affordability.'
